We use an electric knife to cut our bread. It makes it so much easier. It is one I inherited from Mum.

Yes, we use our electric knife for bread too, it is great for getting thin slices.
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/

I use an electric knife for cutting bread too. I just have an old brown and beige one that was a wedding present 33 years ago.
A Sunbeam and still good as new.  :D

me too . . . didn't even have one  - then  I saw Uni cutting bread with one - lightbulb moment!!  Now I have one . .!!   ;D ;D  (Thank you, Uni!!!  :-* :-*)

Edited: The Breville just died!!! so now certainly not recommended on that note - it didn't last long at all and very disappointed.  It seems the older ones are much better quality . .  any suggestions anyone?

We also got an electric knife for a wedding present....... :D
But I don't use it for bread (or anything else for that matter) - it only gets used when my mum comes to visit as she uses hers for about everything.  :)
For bread I use one of our bread knives, by hand. Love how it doesn't squash freshly baked bread!!  :D

I don't like my electric knife. I prefer cutting bread with my grandmother's bread knife. My mum has the same bread knife too, but she has broken the tip off hers. >:(

What a strange looking knife CC.  I can't work out if it's cutting a slice off the bread or roll or cutting through the centre of it.

It does a great job Suzanne but it's extremely sharp.

It's great for slicing all breads Judy. You can only slice to a certain width so you couldn't cut a loaf in half with it.

I might suggest to DH that he could make some for presents for Christmas ;D
