A Very Happy New Owner and Consultant to be...
« on: April 19, 2011, 01:30:35 am »
Hi Everyone,

I received my Thermomix last week, so am on my 5th day and loving it....

I saw a demo over a year ago and have been waiting to get my TM...as we were in the process of moving interstate at the time, all my funds were tied up so i have been waiting and waiting when finally the other week I went for it. I got on the TM website ticked all the boxes re: demo's, wanting to purchase and a box about beoming a consultant??

After a very friendly and helpful chat with my local consultant i attended the open day and loved every moment of it. I bought my TM on the day as I didn't want to wait another moment, though my training isn't until the end of May. I don't mind waiting for that though as it will give me a chance to get used to my TM.... I now sit on the bus with my books on the way to and from work (2 hrs worth!) trying to learn all I can.

We have had some great results, i.e. I have the family convinced that the curry we made on the first night (Butter Chicken in EDC) is the best curry we have ever made and much better than the local restaurants - smug  ;D P.S. my rice was also perfect not it's usual gluginess...

My husband was even hovering around the TM as I arrived home last night from work and when I cautiously said would you like to have a go at dinner...he actually agreed...i reckon he had been looking at it all day waiting to get his hands on it - brilliant!! I think we made dinner for the first time together since our first date 6 years ago - Who knew it was good for romance too!!!...
;) (We made the Stroganoff from EDC - yummy!)

Anyways, best get on, am making quantities of the Veg stock concentrate today and think I will have a crack at some of the demo recipes also...

welcome swayney - can really feel your enthusiasm, and don't worry - its just gets better! Here is another Butter Chicken recipe from the Indian cookbook which is probably even nicer than the EDC. Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you  :D

Welcome Swayney. It sounds like you are enjoying your machine.
CP63 we're having butter chicken for dinner tonight. I've just made the Tikka paste. You will love it Swayney.

Welcome Swayney. I'm sure you'll both put it through it's paces. I'm sure your enthusiasm will pay off when you start your demonstrations.

Hi Swayney and welcome to this forum.  Sounds as though you will be extremely busy - thankfully thermie is so user friendly, producing wonderful results if instructions are followed.  My DH is only slightly more thermie acquainted than Frozzie's - he uses it to grind all the seeds and nuts he uses for breakfast cereals.  :)  :)
