Couldn’t have done it without the a/c Marina. Bit of respite last night with a cooler minimum but heats building up again this afternoon. I put the avocado pieces in the smoothies frozen, that’s all I use the frozen ones for. I had to do that as DF’s sister has a tree and I ended up with a freezer drawer full last year.
Chookie, I can’t just let the 7 sit there seeing as it was a gift so most days I do something in it. This morning’s something was a batch of almond biscuits but I used macadamias, better for ckd. Most of the things I do are for him, I have plenty of food for me in the freezer. Glad to read that your problem is easing.

I strained some Greek yoghurt and made a savory ‘cheese’. I added garlic and chives.
Made the last lot of Apricot jam, in TMX. Also started a batch of Plum vinegar. Will let it sit for 3 days to ferment.

I had a fish head and some raw prawn shells in the freezer from recent meals plus quite a lot of the cooked fish. I’m going to make a UK style fish pie down the track but wanted to get rid of the head and shells now so a lovely fish stock was made in a big stockpot. I’ve googled for stock quantities needed for 4 serves and AI has come up with a complete perfect recipe. Now I know what quantities to freeze the stock in and all the smelly stuff is out in the bin on the verge for collection tomorrow. Mission accomplished!

Well done Judy.
I made fish stew from my Blog. Nice for a change. Also a small piece of fish with my crispy batter. The one with the bit of carb soda in it.

Took the SD starter out of fridge. It really loves this warm weather. Cookie, I can see why you make a lot of SD bread as the SD must love Perth’ s warm climate. It is a lot more work here, especially in winter.
