Yesterday I made a spicy chicken stew in the slow cooker for my DF.

Thank you Chookie , I think it’s just easier to have what we would at home , then they get one proper meal . But sometimes, well a lot I run out of energy.

Bought some turkey wings, the meaty part. Put them into SC with tinned tomato, mushrooms celery and carrot. When cooked I removed bones and will freeze in meal sizes.

I made some chocolate biscuits today and cooked my rye SD that has been around for about 36 hours.

Cookie, I bet that rye was tasty.
I had the Sausage roll machine out to make rolls filled with pork cottage pie. Made 4 with puff pastry and they were very nice. Thought what else could I make? Looked through the book that I bought and noticed recipe for cakes cooked in machine. I had a box of butter cake mix so used this. Need to experiment more as the bottom of first batch were burnt. The second lot were ok. I think it might be best to start them off in cold machine. Will test this out.

I’ve been trying a few simple recipes in my new machine when time allows, used some of my cherry tomatoes in a tomato, gin pasta sauce recipe for the freezer, tried a 1/2 batch of Chookie’s no fuss rolls but not having luck with bread recipes lately, did a batch of lemon curd then made Edna’s Lemon Curd Tea Cake (it’s more like a shortbread slice but very nice), bechamel sauce, Skinnymixers chia pudding with lemon curd topping.
