Great cooking girls.
Probus Good Friday celebration went well. I made Almond Crackle Biscuits to have with tea or coffee at end of meal. Several people asked for recipe.
Yesterday, I fancied a Hot X Bun for breakfast. I had trouble finding one.

Almond crisp biscuits and Lemon drizzle cake.

Yes Cookie. I think that I had made about 200 + buns . 9 people made 16 each to take home and I made so many I lost count. I found that it required at least 2 1/2 hours for each batch.
Yesterday, while recovering from 5 hours of talking and eating, I made a batch of the basic Bun recipe, without the fruit , and made 9 buns and 12 scrolls. The scrolls were filled with sour dried cherries and Apple. Iced with Philly cheese icing.

I made Macadamia Anzacs. They always go down well in our house. DD made some delicious Carrot Muffins, and I made another batch of Hot Cross Buns and soaked the fruit overnight in rum. Yummy.

I also made a No Bake Anzac Caramel Slice from Tenina. It was for DD to take to work. It was very rich and tasted amazing.
This photo is of DH cutting it with a hot knife.

I made Cream of Celery soup ( my Blog) to have for dinner after DD birthday lunch . I was very surprised how everyone asked for seconds.
Cool here so might make more soup. Dan Leppard has an interesting one. Sweet potato and chickpeas.

Used the bone from roast lamb and made soup. Added carrots, celery, barley, red split peas and white beans. A meal in a bowl.

DH casually mentioned after I got home from the dentist that the bread I make for him (classic loaf) was out. No time to sort out the starter so I made him a jumbo seed loaf from Thermomumma.

Bottling some apples in the microwave. Bought 10 sheet pack of puff pastry. Made 6 sheets into rolls to keep in freezer ready for Portuguese Custard Tarts.

I opened a ne bag of bread flour today for the pizza and it had heaps of little black insects in it. Most annoying.

I've made caramalized onions this afternoon, some for the pizza and some for the freezer.
