There are a few SC recipes I want to make which use a can of condensed mushroom soup so today I bought the ingredients for this recipe http://thepioneerwoman.com/food-and-friends/homemade-condensed-cream-of-mushroom-soup/ and made triple quantity for the freezer which is equal to 4 cans of soup.

Seemed like a beautiful day to cook . Made Celeriac soup followed by Chocolate chip cookies . They had cream cheese in them .Then a lemon cake recipe I  made into muffins instead . Lastly Sausage rolls that are healthy , no meat . The later three things went into a container for DS after school snack . The cookies and lemon muffins were both nice and light . For dinner all in one steamed salmon , veggies and rice .

A great effort in the kitchen yesterday Katie.
With all those mushrooms you've been giving away from the compost delivered Chookie, you could have been cooking them down and freezing them for later.  My packet contained 500g.

Yes Judy. Not much room in freezer. Have been giving most away.  Each day I can pull another 250g of small ones from the compost.

How long will you continue to get mushrooms for, Chookie?

Marina, The girls who grow the mushrooms said they could grow for weeks. They stacked the blocks in about 4 layers. They said they will keep growing on the stacked layers.  They said they are so strong the can lift concrete.
Judy, you have got the cooking bug. Go for it.

Soup and grilled salmon with veggies. Might make a veggie Strata.  Haven't made one before, but it looks like a savoury cheese bread and butter Pud.
