:D I think wine has pickled mine!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

LOL Megan, maybe that's the problem then, but it's easier to blame the kids, lol.

Thanks JD! I knew someone far more capable with the forum than I would come to the rescue. I will try to delete the other thread.

Well I will start this thread by saying that I am a 'sandwich' generation person. Dd in final year school and parents now living with us in a semi- separate living quarters since they are ailing.  On the cooking front the TMX gets used a lot since someone or other will enjoy my experimental dishes. I work part time...some times.

My 'baby' is now 18 years old so I'm working full time as a GP. Love to cook as a sanity saver (evidence of something constructive, and yummy). Hats off to all of you for your varied and inspirational stories😊

Very interesting read. So many talented forum members.
I currently have 2 paid jobs and 1 unpaid.
I work for an Insurance company 2 days a week. Been there for 22 years now. Boy that makes me feel old.
I have been a Training Consultant and also Manager in the past when we lived in Sydney.
9 years ago we moved to the country. I am now a Customer Service Consultant at the local office.
Last year DH & I purchased a business and I work there 3 days a week (9-3). We sell stock feed, pet food, trailers, trailer parts and horse floats. DH also runs his mechanical business there too.
My unpaid job us 24/7 as cook, cleaner, taxi, teacher, counsellor and wife.
Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

Since I last posted here early in 2010, I've gone from being a relief teacher 2 or 3 days a week, to teaching full time since term 3  2010. I love it, but find my TMX use has declined quite a bit. I need quick & easy things to cook, but I can't seem to get myself organised. When I get home from school I just don't want to fuss. After many years of practice I'm still not very good at cooking!

My eldest 3 children are married, so I only have 3 children at home now, the youngest being 13. I would be feeling a bit obsolete if I wasn't working LOL.
