How perfectly horrid timing Michele!  Hope the rest of your weekend was a little drier.

I shouldn't be on this thread,  I'm being jealous haha. DH is headed to Qld on Monday and I'm staying home with the midget. However three weeks of not rushing for work pickups,  a kitchen that won't get trashed and minimal washing is definitely an upside!

Gotta be Cookie. Less housework counts as a holiday of sorts, doesn't it?

Here we are in Echuca, Ral, Bruce, Mandy and myself. We are having a cheap short holiday, 3 nights on a Shop a Docket .  That is one of the specials on the back of the Supermarket receipt. $488 for 3 nights with cooked breakfast, free voucher for Devonshire tea and $40 off a meal at a local popular restaurant, as well as an hour boat trip up the river on a Paddle Steamer and a bottle of wine.
The room is large and clean. We had lunch at The Nook, good.  Still have to decide about Dinner.
More tomorrow.

It sounds great Chookie, we had a week in Echuca many years ago and loved it.

I have gone totally green with jealousy. What paddle steamer will you be going on Chookie?
It sounds like a brilliant deal. Have a wonderful break.

Chookie, it sounds like a GREAT deal, we used to always check shopper dockets when they were first popular, got out of the habit.  Will make a point of looking.
Enjoy your break with your family.

This morning we went on the Canberra Paddle steamer down the Murray River.  I am just now sitting in the car by the river  while Bruce ,Mandy and Ral look for birds. I think they have found some.  We had Devonshire tea for lunch, also part of the deal on the docket.  Tomorrow night we are attending a Trivia night at a local pub.  Bruce and Mandy are absolute whizzes at trivia. Will try and post a photo of pre TMX kitchen mixers.
