Great photo. Can just imagine the smells. I Wonder how they keep them fresh and fragrant?

We are back home now, and it is so good. We didn't miss Spring , as we thought we might. Ral is more comfortable at home . We will ring the Dr in the morning and then take it from there. Paul met us in Dubai, he arrived from Australia one hour before us. We were on the plane for 5 hours, Istanbul to Dubai. Not a good experience with an upset tum. The 10 hour gap between flights , in the transit hotel, means only 4 to 5 hours sleep. I had 10 hours sleep in 3 days, Ral about the same. The flight from Dubai to Melb is 12 hours. Paul flew with us back to Melb, and then by car to Cherokee.
Wendy, our DDIL had warmed the house up and bought supplies to get us going. I had a wonderful toasted ham sandwich.
Before we left Istanbul, I visited the Restaurant on the roof of the hotel. I had just 2 small plates. I have attached a photo of the Hummus. I wanted to see how it differed from what I make. It is basically a nest of the hummus with freshly cooked chick peas in the center and dressed with chilli flavored olive oil. No Cummin in the hummus.
More photos to come.

Welcome home Chookie
At least you will be in your own bed tonight and getting some well needed rest.
Delicious dish of Hummus.

Lovely to hear you are back and settled into your own home Chookie, there's nothing like it. To walk into a lovely warm home and be able to eat something simple was great and I hope you and Ral both have a very good sleep tonight in your own bed. Rest up now, do what you have to do as far as your health is concerned and slowly get back into the swing of things. Great support from DS & DIL.

So pleased to hear that you and Ral are safely home
I hope Ral will soon be back to normal.
The hummus looks fab and that's how we have had it served both in Egypt and Turkey.

So glad to hear that you are now all home safe and sound. As I was driving down to Melbourne late yesterday afternoon I watched an Emirates plane come in and was thinking of you - highly unlikely that that was YOUR plane, but my thoughts were with you nonetheless as I knew you had to be very close at that time. It must have been a difficult flight for Ral.
It will be a comfort to be back in your own home with family and friends around you giving you support. XX

Welcome home, Chookie and Ral!
So heartwarming to hear how Paul went the extra mile to take care of both of you. Signs of a very well brought up son. Kudos to both mum and dad.
And such a thoughtful gesture from Wendy. Just lovely.
Rest up now, Chookie. Hope Ral bounces back very soon.

Lots of rest for you both now and Ral will be back to 100% in no time. Nothing like being at home.
Take care, xx
