Bowl issues
« on: April 19, 2013, 11:02:40 am »
My thermomix arrived today..

I started (after reading instructions etc) by cleaning the bowl as instructed, but now I can't reassemble it.

First I struggled to rotate the jug back onto the base (which I till haven't been able to do.

Then I tried to remove the knife to start again and it cannot be removed.

I am ready to throw the bowl at the wall.. Can anyone help?

Hi Tb123.
Firstly don't throw your bowl against the wall. :D
It takes a little time to get use to assembling your TM bowl.
Pop the blades into the bottom of your bowl. They can only go in one way.
Now sit the jug onto the bottom bit .The handle will be to the right.Make sure the blades are still sitting in the bottom.
Now push the bottom piece to the right and the handle to the left. You might have to hold the blades as you do this.
Being a new jug it maybe stiff.
If you get together, keep taking it apart and assembling it until becomes second nature.

Dear Tb123,
The best person to help is the consultant who delivered your Thermomix.  Have you given her/him a call?
I'm sure they'd be happy to pop back and give you another demonstration, so that you are completely comfortable getting the base on and off.
I well remember the feeling that first night trying to do things on my own.
Fortunately, my DD was not at all nervous and got me through those "stuck" moments.
Your consultant is the one to call, but CC's description is sure to help.
Good luck!  And welcome to the forum.

I hold the blades in my bowl upside down and then just twist the bottom piece on. It works easily.
