Problem with the scale on thermie
« on: November 10, 2012, 09:58:44 am »
Has anyone had problems with their scale on their thermie?  I often had problems with mine measuring incorrectly but tonight it started counting up even with nothing in the bowl. It managed to count to 250g!

I've only had it since June and always keep the chord extended.  I also clean and rotate the feet on a regular basis and the bench in level, clean and dry.  I've tried turning it off and on.  Pulling the bowl in and out.  I've cleaned and re-cleaned, moved the chord and spun the feet.

Has anyone else had this? Help!

I agree with obbie - if you can't get hold of your consultant asap . . than a call to the HO first thing on Monday.

It probably needs adjusting Aleisha, ring toll free 1800 004 838 if you are not in Perth.  Is everything else working?  In the meantime, I hope you have some scales you can use to get by with.

Thanks guys,

Everything else seems to be working. I just went back and gave it yet another clean and they seem to be working again, though are 10-15g out. I've emailed my consultant. Hopefully I'll get it sorted soon.

I didn't know you had to rotate the feet, does anyone else do this?

No I didn't know anything about turning the feed either. I keep them clean though.

Also, are you supposed to keep the cord extended or coiled up inside the TMX?

I know nothing of rotating the feet either!  ??? ???

I was taught and then taught others to keep the feet and under the TMX clean and always keep your cord fully extended and not touching anything (including the TMX) and there should also be nothing else touching the TMX.

Hope you get sorted soon!!

Come to think of it  . .I was taught this by a friend . . . and not by my consultant . . . .
