Gert, I haven't upgraded to IOS 6 yet but will be over the weekend, I friend had trouble accessing the Utube app plus  a few other problems when he upgraded so I wanted to wait until I had time in case I have problems. I normally synch at least once a week because I have the majority of family photos on both my iPad and the Mac and like to ensure they stay up to date and there is less risk of loosing anything. The problem I have is that the kids will sometimes use my ipad to purchase games under either DH or DD's itunes accounts rather then getting their own ipads out (because they are rarely charged) and because I've never bother to get their passwords when i synch or update I always have a few that can't be updated, I'm not fussed in them because they are generally apps I don't use, but it does mean I always have a message indicating I have apps requiring an update.

Sounds very messy to me. Maybe your kids need to get charged with charging their own devices. ;D ;D

One plus with iOS 6 is that the AppStore is a tiny bit more clever and now passwords arent required to update apps (thank the maker). though they may have to have signed in once to the other accounts (even across other stores. I use DE, UK & US)

Also Wonder, you will lose the YouTube app that was on the device but Google have a new one in the AppStore (at least in most app stores, not currently in the DE store)

I know for me I can't go down to 32GB, it's too cramped, our first iPad was 64GB, then I got the iPad 2 with 32GB and was always fretting for space and deleting things I didn't want to, so when I was given the money to get an iPad 3 (long story) I got the 64GB version.

Yes that is the case  then again not. Sometimes here a password is required and sometimes not. And each device is different. Go figure.

It is messy Gretch and I'm also on st Tom to use their own but it's amazing what I find on my iPad some days when I haven't been around! They prefer mine because it has 3G so they can go outintothe back yard and sty connected. It does have one advantages - DD who is 17 forgot to ign out of Facebook quite a few months ago and has or gotten all about it, we have been able to find out lots of things shroud prefer us not to know, and she just thinks we are extremely smart!, :-))

Well wonder the latest i0S 6.01 was released overnight so they will all need updating.

I am not surprised a what some kids put on FaceBook but I am disgusted and appalled at  at the lack  imagination , the grammar , spelling errors  plus the ignorance . Sad really for such a privileged generation.

Cp there is no way she would have me as a friend, this is all be stealth. She also only speaks to people via private messaging rather than on the actual facebook pages, This way I can periodically check up on them particularly when they are organizing parties etc. and at least feel as though I have an idea of what is going on. Al her friends think I have a sixth sense and am extremely smart - if they only knew how I know it all  ;D ;D ;D

Gert it does amaze me what some of the kids will put on Facebook and also how naive they are about the long term consequences.

You should ntake some screen shots too but then again your iPad is not private so maybe not. But always a good idea when they come back at ya with I never did/said that.

Screen shots are good insurance for many things.

I am just upgrading my iPhone to iOS6.01

I can never make direct mention of what I've seen because it would give the game away, anything I see discussed I have to weave into conversation as though I've come up with it on my own. A few times I thought I had gone to far but fortunately was able to cover it up. 17 year olds aren't as clever as they think they are, and parents are a lot more clever and devious than what the 17 year olds think we are!

If you tap on the button in the top right hand corner that has an arrow, it will give you some options. One of those options is to start a new topic. :)
