Yes we saw him in action today taking photos with the iPad and he seems to enjoy using it  ;D

Mine is the first model Gretchen and has no camera.

When DH needs a thing a ma jig at the hardware he can take a photo here and show at the store just what he is looking for. If he is about to take something apart he takes a photo first so can put it back the right way. This has proved very  useful.  Note this.....when removing patterned curved pavers take a picture first!!! It will  save hours and angst. And your DW telling you she told you so.

Well the cover arrives tomorrow hopefully so at least we can see the size of it but the mini does not arrive until  the end of November because I wanted the 3G capable with wifi.  The. I will have to buy a nano SIM card from Telstra.

This is terrible Gert, I checked out the ipad mini site and ebay to check out how much my changeover cost will be. It's having to buy the extra's that add to the overall cost. With your SIM, when I was in the city last week i saw a notice in a shop window that they cut micro sims down to fit the new iphone 5 which i believe is that same size as the ipad mini, it might be worth investigating if you still have a lot of data left.

I did think about that but I will have only two months left on my iPad 3 sim. Still have lots of Data but the year runs out in Jan.

I get  1 GByte a month on my iPhone but will use more on my mini perhaps. Or I could tether the mini to the iPhone and use   that.

Still if I can get 12GB for $150 for the year then that is pretty cheap as I do use it a lot  when out of wifi reach.

Here is another tip.

When posting on the forum using your iPad or iPhone  start the post then tap Post after a few words. Then go back and tap modify to finish your post.

This will avoid accidentally deleting before you post. I have done that  several times and lost some bigger postings which is a in the butt to re type everything.

I think my yahoo mail has been hacked.
It's not letting me in with my password and now it's been locked for 12 hours  :(

I never use my yahoo account for that reason.  Same with hotmail. Not secure it seems to me . So far so good with gmail and BigPond. I have a few email addy's I cannot remember what they are or the passwords!

H that is what made me post that tip. I think I posted it somewhere before. It is handy for the iPad for sure.
