Holiday in batemans Bay, Chookie and DH
« on: June 17, 2012, 05:58:00 am »
We are staying at the Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort at South Durras,  which is near Batemans Bay in NSW,  Australia. We are joining friends there.  We will arrive on Thursday 21 st. June and leave on Friday th 29th June. It is a beautiful spot and we have a cabin right on the beach. Cooking will be a bit of a challenge as there is a very small MW and a 2 burner stove top.  I am not taking the TMX.  Breakfast is provided and we will probably eat out for one meal and have something light for the other meal.
We would love to catch up with other Forum members if anyone is close and has time.
You could send me a PM as we are taking our iPads,  and hope we can use them.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone local. ;D

Chookie, if I lived near there, I would have a coffee in a flash.

Someone will live near there.

Chookie have a great time. I enjoyed my last visit to Bateman's Bay. We went down that ghastly hill with the van from Bungendore. We West Aussies are not used to hills like that. :-)) :-)) :-)) It was scarey.

Dear Chookie,  That's a great part of the world.  In my student days, I spent a summer working at a Chinese restaurant in Bateman's Bay, located within a Leagues club.  I hope it's still a good place to eat out.  I certainly thought it was high end then.  :)

Oh Cookie,  that is an awful road,  even going up the other way.  We went up a few months ago and commented on how we wouldn't like to come down.
Cecilia, thanks for the tip.  We have stayed at Batemans Bay a few times over the years,  and love it.

I'm glad it's not only us that felt that way aboout the moountain/hill. We had been warned about Brown mountain further down the coast but found the one to Bateman's Bay much worse.

Thanks Yvette.  will try.
Michele,  You know what it is like in a strange bed.   Have been awake since 3.00 am, and reading Uni's thread.  What a good laugh I have had.  Last night at Lakes Entrance and tonight and tomorrow at Bermagui.  Then on to Batemans Bay.  Very relaxing,  no one on the roads as it is just before school hols.
