Cookie that is so nice to do for a 21st .
Great the delivery man was pleasant.
Now I know that I have been taking on more than I can deal with, but that’s iso life for all .
Had a huge migraine yesterday , slept when I could ate nothing did nothing . The wheels fell off but by dinner time all came together !! This morning DD emptied dishwasher and restacked it , DS helped too . School started without me . Day of rest again today , all I will have to do is wash and put away fruit and veg delivery. Feeling ok but no way better.
May be a long mother’s day care package now !

Thanks Cookie..  the next 2 in the pipeline are the Korma recipe from my blog. Of the 400+ recipes on my blog, this is one of the most popular. And a very simple Nigel Slater recipe.

Yesterday it was cold and rained most of the day.
We received our Smallgoods order.   There was one item that they couldn’t supply.  They replaced it with so much other stuff that I thought that we had someone else’s order.  But our name was on both bags.  The quality is superb.

Lovely and sunny but very cool this morning at 13 but a much warmer start than Chookie has been having.
After doing a bit of housework will spend the afternoon making cards to send to friends and family that I haven't seen since the virus took off. I'm also in a facebook group and we send cards to each other from all over the world. We call it happy mail and it is such a thrill to get a card in the post box. I've had cards from Canada, The States, Holland, Germany, NZ and of course Australia.

Michele, that is very nice with the cards.
Today we are getting ready for the hair dresser.  She is coming to the house.
Yesterday I made an additional small Lemon Feather cake for our neighbour.  As I suspected her daughter came home from shopping with nothing.  She was frightened she would catch the virus.

That was nice of you Chookie. I like the idea of a home visit from your hairdresser.
Michele what a great idea with the international card idea and I’m sure your friends and relatives will appreciate receiving a card from you during the current situation.
K Atie your Mothers’ Day sounded very nice.

Mich the card idea is great. We don’t seem to have snail mail much now.
I’m sure your neighbour appreciated the cake Chookie. Sad that her DD was so worried she couldn’t shop.

We went out to see my brother today. We can now legally see each other and we did stay our 1.5 metres apart.

Lovely to be able to share some cooking with your neighbour Chookie. Maybe online shopping is the way for them to go. It must be a struggle for those that don't have computer access or family close by.
As of Friday, I will be able to spend some more time with mum. Lately it's just been dropping off groceries and doing essentials for her.

Michele, good on you and lucky mum.  I’m sure she appreciates it.
Made some falafels with quinoa.  DD loved them so will make again today ( to test proportions) and post the recipe.

A waiting game ahead , as one takes in the soon changes in lockdown. DD and DS await what will happen for boarding school .. no mention just about schools ! We know DD will be the first back . Realising they have not mentioned the elderly, we have to protect them just the same .
So use to our protective cocoon.

We had a car club friend drop in this morning. He had borrowed an engine lifter from DH. His wife is Greek and he brought over some Greek shortbread made by one of her relatives. Oh gosh! It is so delicious and very short and has walnuts in. I just had to have a piece.
We were all good with the social distancing.
