I am still around but have been busy as and not cooking much. I did however buy the "Cooking  for One or Two with chip. Tonight my DD', who is staying here this week will be making the Spinich thingy recipe. I actually have not got it here as she took it to work with her. I'll take a pic if it is successful.  This will be the first time DDhas used the TM5 and I am sure she will find it as frustratingly slow as  I do. The delay drives me nuts.

Need to catch up with you all.

Good afternoon/evening friends. Like you I find the delay on the TM5 frustrating Gert :-)) The new "finished" noise drives my DS nuts :D :D
I wonder what your DD will make of the TM5.
Good morning DJ and other people waking up.

And the other bloody thing is that if you accidentally touch the button on the "half hour" start up sequence  you cannot turn the thing off.

Morning all.
Going to be a hot one here today.
Yes delay is annoying on 5. Don't know about the 1/2 hour thing??? Used new recipe for making Mayo, good. Added lots of garlic and mustard.  Then made 2 second salad after scraping out.

Well maybe not 1/2 hour but it takes awhile to startup. Longer than my Mac anyway..

I wonder when they re- introduce the machine to the U.S. if they will make changes or tweak it.they certainly do want the returns they have had here!

Hi Gert, have you tried removing the chip for start up. My DD worked this out, heaps better.
