Cookie, I'm overly pedantic about safety (comes with working for a large mining company for so long) and am called the Safety N*z* at home  ;D, I'm also particularly bad when crossing roads and will walk well out of my way to cross at a crossing, or wait however long for the green man to appear even if there are no cars visible! When I'm walking the dogs I never use music as I love the solitude of just walking with them and we can walk for a couple of hours and never notice the time, when I'm running I need the music to keep me going but even then unless i'm in a fun run environment I only ever wear one earphone so I'm fully aware of my surroundings. It's amazing how many times I've almost been hit by cars on my morning walks, I think drivers are getting much worse and in the early hours of the morning are focussed on just getting to work or where ever they are going and don't expect to see people crossing streets or at the lights. Unfortunately these days you also need to be so much more aware of your surroundings if you are on your own - sad but a fact of life these days.

Good morning everyone on a scorching Adelaide day to be.

Too true Wonder, you need eyes in the back of your head these days.

Good morning everyone, what a night here last night lots of wind.  Amazingly slept well ( DH away so no snoring).
Holly looks beautiful CC and I guess a perfect food for the little birds in winter.
Gave a good day.

It's not windy over here this morning but  we are very protected.  I worry how different it will be when we move.

You will notice a difference when you move Denise as its very windy here at the moment and hasn't eased up since I arrived here yesterday mid afternoon.

Wonder I have a friend who runs a safety business and he can spot unsafe things at 50 paces. Walkers certainly aren't always at fault, as you say many drivers are intent on one thing, and it isn't driving. I'm glad you take care.
