I was so happy to see the sun today after a fortnight of rain. The washing was hanging on the line and smelt sunshine fresh when I bought it in.  ;D

I agree cookie.  I've had one for over 25 years and have probably only used it twice in all that time.  I'd rather put wet/damp clothes on a clothes drier in the back room or under the verandah.  The tropics are different though, it can rain for days on end so is probably an essential item up there.

Air drying is the way to go if you can. The washing smells so much better.
Obviously if you live in snow country it isn't possible. We just do what we can.  :)

I also like the sun to kiss my clothes.

Hate dryers.

I do use my dryer, but only when I need to.  :)
mostly I have 2 airing racks of drying clothes in winter, or everything outside the rest of the time...nothing nicer than getting into a bed that is made with  clean fresh sheets that have been dried outside (oh, and  dh in there too is great.  ;D :-*)
I love fresh clean washing that has been dried outside, even if at this time of the year I near freeze my fingers hanging it out in the frost, it is worth it.  ;D

Life is too short to hang out washing. I would rather read .

Good morning everyone :)

More water problems here again. :(

DH was in the shower last night and remarked that we had very little water pressure where normally it is quite high.  Out we go, me in my nightie and DH in his pj's looking for a water leak, sure enough we found it.  We turned off the water at the mains went to bed, had very little sleep worrying about it and rang the plumber this morning.  He has just been and thank goodness it will be a reasonably easy fix.

This is the 5th problem we have had since moving in.   At this rate we will have soon replumbed the whole house and block.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

That's no good Mab.
Why do these things always happen at night or on weekends when you can't  fix it straight away?

I agree Cookie; I only use the dryer to finish off if absolutely necessary. Mainly for towels because our water seems to make them hard if I don't finish off in the dryer. When the children were young we lived in Northam and it was always wet and couldn't get the washing dry so got a dryer - transferred back to Perth and hardly used it since. Its about 40 years old and still going.
