Think we dodged a bullit Obbie.

Rained heavily from midnight here. We have no power which went out some hours ago. Still dark so can't see much except pool overflowed of course and I can' t empty  it without power .

Bit of wind now but all ok. I hope Cooktown is ok.  If anyone has heard the news let me know please.

Very lucky  us . It was a one Muscat glass cyclone after all.

Ho HO. Silly me. Just heard from my DD That it is now to hit us about 1000. The winds is really picking up now and the worst is yet to come. It must have slowed down to take this long to hit here.. Yikes I am sitting out back on the patio looking into the rainforest . I can hear the creek behind us running wild. Hope it does not break the bank.

The cockatoos are screaming.

Hang on OBBIE be up there too soon.

Yep Gert hang on to your hat it is on its way to you. Just saw on ABC 24 that Cooktown is fine with minimal damage and everyone OK. Storm surge flooding not expected in Cairns but expect the winds to pick up and a lot of rain. Time for another glass of muscat  ;D
