CC what beautiful pieces of wood turning. I showed DH and put in my request. He made a wood lathe when he was at uni and has made me a couple of things. They are truly a labour of love.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I thought you might like to see the salt and pepper mills DH made for our friends 70th birthday present.
The left one made of oak is the pepper mill.The right is the salt mill made out of Ash.They are tall 56cm.The wood was recovered from the friends garden about seven years ago when he had tree work done.DH seasoned it in his wood pile.


I especially love the stand they on. I get salt and pepper rings where ever I place mine, the stand is lovely and completes the set.  :)
