Could you dry some of them? How about making Mushroom duxelles very useful to use as a stuffing for things.

Morning everyone,
Hello CC hope you have finished the cupboards.
Uni, have checked my dehydrator book and according to it Mushrooms should dry at 50 -55 degrees. Cut into 5mm slices from cap through stem or leave small ones whole. Suppose to take 5 -8 hours. Don't know whether this helps or not.

I guess that would be to let the moisture out but would keep the oven cooler. Did they dry at all? With the dehydrator the fan is going and that would help get rid of the moisture. Just checked on another site and it says to dry at around 65 degrees for around an hour. Will keep looking in my books to see if there is anything else that may help.

bits and pieces CC, i have about 3kg of mushrooms and i am trying to decide what to do with them
Good morning everyone -Uni - that's a lot of mushrooms!!! somehow I've ended up with 10 Kg carrots . . . . have managed to give some away but what do I do with the rest before they start to deteriorate?? Carrot cake, carrot soup . . steamed carrots every night . . . . . can you juice carrots in the TMX?

Hey GF, I think Brumington used carrots in my Zucchini, Cheese and Bacon Mini Quiches instead of the zucchini
