Uni, I absolutely have panic attacks about going to the dentist.  I recently had to have a wisdom tooth out and until they told me the cost (an extra $2,500 on top of normal dentist bill), I was having it under a general ! The Dentist talked me into having it done in the chair and he gave me 3 valium tablets to get me through (plus the normal injections they give you). I've since had a major filling done and again he gave me valium ........... it really does just take that edge off !! Ask for some valium .....

Uni, what exactly is the work you are having done in your mouth again?  Major works, major pain but you will come out of it looking and feeling good about yourself I'm sure.  Nice to hear DD is looking after you but I'm sure you will still be cooking normal food for others in no time.  When is the next appt?

We both have dental appts late this afternoon but only minor stuff thank goodness.  I don't have the fear of dentists these days that I did as a kid when things were so different and our dentist was an absolute monster.  I screamed so much when I saw all the equipment hanging from the ceiling that he told Mum to take me home until I could behave myself LOL.  One way of getting out of a dental appointment  ;)

Good advice Gert  :D

Uni, I had my teeth done 18 months ago.  I had every tooth fitted with a crown, molars and all.  Lots and lots of drilling and an appointment every two weeks for months, but the end result is amazing.  I can eat anything with comfort, including ice-cream and I'm never hesitant to flash my pearly whites in photos.

Hang in there hun and just think how good you'll look.  ;D

I feel for you Uni, I only had 2 small fillings and a clean today and that was enough for me :-))  You will have to post a photo of yourself with a big smile when they are all finished.
