Uni any ideas, they just don't want to get up, clean teeth, or even go to school. hate shoes, uniforms ect. sick of some of the bullying at school, kids jumping on them from nowhere, so now both have sore backs, and DD has attitude.

Ideas for me... :)

Your poor children, Robyn - I don't think I'd be willing to get up and going if I was getting bullied either.  :(
Hope something can be done about the rotten bullies. >:(

Hi everyone, hello, or good nite.
I am here, have a fair bit of work to do today.

Kids are getting me down too.
Anyone have 8 year olds that think there teenagers...

I have an 83 year old that behaves like an 8 year old sometimes.

LOL Gert :-))

Robyn, Uni and Astarra are right (I was only joking about World's Strictest Parents BTW ;)). Their attitude is probably their way of expressing how miserable and hurt they are by the bullying. I think if you can find a solution to the bullying, your kids may lighten up a bit and be a bit more compliant :)

Robyn bullying is one thing but just being a pain in the butt is another. Take their new laptops from them and don't give them back  until they behave. Do not back down ever with kids.

On had major problem with door  slamming when retreating to bedroom. Solution. Screwdriver and doors gone. Easy peasy . The door did not go back until behaviour improved.

Thanks Gert, screwdriver...  :)  School has a no bullying policy, but teachers just say "sort it out yourself"
so the same kids just keep playing up.

My DD9 thinks she's a teenager. She also got a laptop for her birthday, so just like Gert suggests I use it as a tool of discipline e.g. - "if you ever speak to me like that again young lady the laptop goes away for a whole week"! So far I've only had to put it away once, for a day or so..... really works!
On the other hand, my DD7 is an absolute angel at the moment - hope it lasts....

Thanks DeeDub, they only got the lap tops last Friday, but the attitude, screaming is killing me. I am banning TV today.

I want cameras at school, so the bullies are caught.. ( keep dreaming I think), and to stop the any vandalism. :)
