Morning all.  Very cold here also . White frost.  -1 1/2 here last night.  Warm inside and good cooking weather.  Was a bit cold cooking the duck on the BBQ,  as I rushed in and out , checking on it.  Very good result.  Would recommend this method.
Uni,  keep pots in a dark cool place so they don't go green.   Sometimes they are packaged in pink  plastic bags ,  so you can't see the green.  Nasty trick.

Morning all,

I hope you binned those spuds Uni! Green potatoes are poinsonous :o

Hally, I hope you feel better very soon so you can have fun with EB and CP :)

I sympathise with all those in the freezing cold places. Its not too bad here, but I did just eat a big bowl of steaming hot porridge so I am feeling quite warm ;D

Well done on the sleep in Robyn ;) I slept in until 7:30, how naughty of me.... but I did have a late night working on a motivational psychology assessment so that might explain it :-))

Sitting on the terrasse while everyone else is still in bed sleeping...slept well though and its 9am so all is good.. Something just scared the crap out of me though rusling in the bushes.. Just a lizard in the end!!

Today more visiting.. So much to see in such a short time.. Last night ate at dh fmily home.. Interesting to say the least...the pasta lovely then it was thin slces of beef with mayo and tuna sauce with carrots.. Was a bit scared when they tod me what it was lol but honestly it wasnt that bad.. Better than i thought.. The icecream however is to die for inthis little village...

Tomorrow is pisa and after off to the beach catching up with some other family friends who ave a holiday home and a spot on the beach with cabin etc.. Sounds like its going o be crowded.. Disappointed we missed the famous horse race in sienne by only a couple of days..

Bye for now
Hope your all well
Will send you all some sunshine and warmth

They are.. Was so cute last night to see 4 kids who only speak italian and 2 who dont to play all night together.. Was lovely.. The kids love travelling but here the countryside is beautiful and the peope so generous.. First night we didnt pay for our meal, yesterday where we are staying the owner gave us fresh eggs and zucchini nd bailic that made the whole hose smell divine...invited here and there and one of dhs friends is a tourist guide so she is coming with us to be our guide fir pise and sienne and told us a bunch of places we should visit. The kids and us are having a fabulous time.. Def a well needed break that we are making te most of!!

Oh and thanks to the sunshine we are finally getting some colour this summer..

How are you feeling uni.. Pain gone?

Ciao
Bacio (also the name of my fav icecream so far)

Thanks Gert, already thought of the towel, ideal. Great minds think alike.

Slept not too bad. Poor DH can't help snoring even worse than usual. so kept waking.
He said what a fuss about the damp smell..... But he can't smell a THING? Trouble is bedroom is worst of all.
Heating on again now, by end of the week it will be much better!

Not raining now but grey.

Please DON'T eat green spuds Uni.. They are toxic.

And please see my link about the BAKE OFF and all,you great bakers.... ENTER,ENTER ,ENTER

GOOD LUCK

Doesn't sound a good start to your holiday DJ but hopefully it will get better.Bloody awful here in Bucks :P so you're not missing anything great down in the south. Many local shows have been cancelled, thank goodness they now have a roof on Wimbledon so the mens final will be played today. :)
