Morning all have to vote today how boring the council elections  >:( Then I am going shopping  :)

I so hate going to the polling places and running the gauntlet of the idiots handing out how to vote cards as if I was a two year old. I always get a postal vote and send it in  before the day.  It is an appalling waste of trees.

Gert
We have to vote soon too. So true Gert. The blatant waste really makes me cranky.  >:(
An interesting thing of recent times is how candidates for a certain party do not identify with that party, no mention of the party, no logo. Not sure if I find this funny or infuriating...

Morning all :) :) :)

Local govts here are not party based (in Great Southern anyway) and ours does only postal votes. Is it compulsory over there?

If you're on the electoral roll in NSW, yes, it's compulsory . . . . must get going and do it now, otherwise I'll be sliding under the door at 5;55pm :-)) ??? >:(

Just not voted what a waste of time. Had to laugh you had to put the papers into two boxes indigo and purple, couldn't they have picked two totally different colours?

Gert, Jamies restaurant was much bigger than I expected and nicely fitted out.  Menu was very extensive - I ordered pasta and mine was too al-dente.  Uni commented she could tell it wasn't completely cooked by just looking at it.  I ate it anyway and the sauce was very nice.  From memory Uni had polenta chips and squid (is that right Uni?) and we shared a brownie and tiramisu for dessert.  My son joined us and he had the Veal and he enjoyed that very much.

And the prices? Value for money you think?

LOL Goldfish.
Hey Uni. How's it going? Read about your lunch with Kezza at JO's. Wish I had seen that in time. Would have loved to meet you both.
Any progress on Sydney get together?  The WA bash is going to be a hard act to follow  ;D ;D ;D
