Good morning everyone.  It's been a busy social week here, one more day out then hopefully the weekend will be very quiet.  Chookie, you have such a busy life - I need some of your batteries I think!

Good morning everyone.  Thick fog earlier, now nice and sunny.

Good morning everyone, although it is almost 10 am for most of you. I've decided to enjoy my morning coffee with my iPad. Have a lovely day all.

What a life Chance has Denise.

It's a juggle Chookie and I sometimes feel worse the wear for it.  I make a rod for my own back sometimes though.  Today I was made a committee member of my Probus group and with it being our 28th birthday next month, guess who has volunteered to make all the desserts LOL.

We only have 24 members Chookie but we invite representatives from 5 other local clubs and members of our local Government.  There's also a group of entertainers coming and they will be invited to join us for lunch so all up there will be around 53 people.

I've offered to make pavlovas, vanilla slice, Heavenly Manna from The Best of Recipe Communities book and JulieO's individual lime cheesecakes.  I'm getting a huge birthday cake from Costco for $24, this is twice the size and half the price of what they normally buy at Woolworths.

I'll still take some savoury dishes - 4 dozen tiny quiches and a Vietnamese chicken salad.

Last year I took on the job of setting up the tables, I bought nice decorations, banners, lolly bowls, some balloons and that will be my job again this year.  I've offered to make sure that the glasses of all dignitaries are kept topped up.  They would have liked me to host 1 group of visitors but if you do that you cannot work and I'd much rather be making sure people are being fed and then tidy up afterwards.  Hosts generally just sit and talk to their visitors and that's not for me.

Wow Judy, you don't do things by halves do you !  If there's anyone that can be relied upon to do the job and do it well it will be you.  I'm sure with organisation you will get through it and may I even say enjoy it, (once the  jitters have passed).
Will look forward to reading about how you went after the fact.  :)
