Made these today for when the grand children arrive tomorrow.  They love them and always ask for them.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thanks for bumping this. We love them and I haven't made them for ages.

Miss 12 and I made these the other night - and they get the "tick of yum" in our house.

Will be making these again and what a ripper recipe to make extras of and freeze uncooked for those nights when you want something easy for tea.

Judy, Miss 12 is my cook. She loves it. She bought a Jamie Oliver book for herself the other day saying that it would "last forever, because I'll always cook" and she has made about 5 dishes from it so far for us.
She is menu planning at the moment as we've bought ingredients for recipes - and then can't remember what we were going to cook!
I just love it when she says "Mum, I'll cook tea tonight".
Can't say no to that!  :) :)

When I buy ingredients for a specific recipe these days, I write that recipe alongside the ingredients but also have a list of 'to do recipes' that I have bought ingredients for.  It is so easy to forget.  Your 12 year old is wonderful, lucky you and isn't it great that she has so much interest in cooking at her age.

Will try that tip Judy - thanks  :)

Yes I am lucky that Miss 12 loves cooking, Miss almost 17 is not interested at all. She just eats when she is hungry! If she offered to cook tea I think I'd fall over!!
