i'm back!!!
« on: October 10, 2009, 05:33:31 am »
from the coast. we had a lovely time but i'm exhausted now! (i went with 3 girlfriends and our 9 kids)

one gf and i took our tmx's so we used them to make smoothies, sorbet etc, had an indian banquet for dinner one night and made playdough (after quickly searching the forum for the recipe ;)) yesterday - that kept the kids entertained for an hour unbelievably! lol

feel like i've been away forever not 3 nights lol

hope you've all behaved yourselves ;)

Glad it all went well Karen.  9 kids  :o :o :o - 1 is enough for me (starting to sound like Thermomixer ;) ;) ;)).  Mind you today he seems to have settled down to his routine better and isn't so grizzly.  Maybe he has forgotten his family already  ??? ??? ??? He is calling me mumma already.

Missed your comments Karen. I'm glad you had a good time. Did you go to Bateman's Bay or further down/up?

Karen, we're going away for a week soon and I'm trying to decide whether to take TMX with me.  Did you have to take loads of ingredients with you so you could cook everything?  Just wondering what to take and whether there is room?

we did take everything but mainly because we didn't want to have to shop while there. i guess it depends what you want to make and where you are going as to whether you will need to take much stuff. the only stuff i probably would have really needed to take just in case were the indian spices and gluten free foods as i wouldn't trust a small coastal town to stock those or at least not at extortionate prices.

FWIW we have an icebox so we packed it a few days before and basically used it as a second fridge before and while there.

I guess I'll have to make my first ever meal plan and see what I need to take, or what I can buy, and go from there.  Thanks for the advice.
