I’m glad the wind has dropped for you Chookie. Wind and rain aren’t fun.

Katie we have set up our motorhome so that it hardly rattles. It’s all the crockery, cutlery and goodness knows what. But of course ours is in the dealer for the bad leaks. It could be there another 3 months. We are not happy at all.
What make is the one you hired?
I’m pleased that you some flowers but sad you got bitten. Drive safely.

The wind has finally dropped. So some small jobs outside. More bread in small machine. More Orange Whiskey Marmalade. Going to try some Pear and Ginger also. Making it in the 7.

I don’t often buy sausages. I bought a small tray of lamb sausages from Wilson’s. They are from Bouchier  ( spelling?) I recently saw a tv program where they represented Australia in an international cooking competition. I think they won. I’ll grill some to have with mashed potatoes , gravy and veggies.

That sounds interesting Chookie. I’ve only ever had Panasonic bread machines. I’ve found them to be very good.
Cookie, until recently , I’ve also only had Panasonic machines. I bought a Breville on sale about a year ago. It’s good. It has a window in the top so you can see how things are going. It also has a blade that flattens when baking, so you don’t get a large hole in the base. I think the electronics of the Panasonic are superior as the machine can switch between Functions depending on program. The Breville is more linear and only change the timing of the steps.
I’ve mentioned a problem that I experienced with the new machine in Cooking Today. I hope I can work around this.

Made a fruit loaf in the new small bread machine. The recipes supplied I used I’ve made before. It has orange marmalade added to a basic white base. I also add dried cranberries and walnuts. In the new machine it takes 4 hours. The only difficulty is that it beeps  for when to add extras, but doesn’t start again automatically. You have to press the start button again. This is a nuisance as the reason I like the bread machine is its predictably. I can set it and know it will be baked at a certain time.
I will try another setting to see if I can avoid this beep setting.
The loaf was excellent. I do like the size and shape of the loaves.

Thank you Cookie , we have seen a bit of wildflowers so good to get your info ! Coldstream was amazing had to go through water to get there ! Oops . But today we could not go on the sand track into a reserve ( name later ) but sand track was not a go zone for the van . DS got bitten alive , but DH and I walked in a way and saw so many different flowers and an orchid too ! Spay on then back . DS had 10 bites no way was he going back . Wish we could have gone in further. Tonight at Jurien Bay . But amazing beach stops . Not enough time . We are all tired , need sleep . Not sure about this particular van as it rattles do much , but I’m the extra passenger. Oh and it leaks ! On the lower edge of the windows at the Bach were we sleep . The cushions were wet when I made up the bed . Not badly so we worked around it towels and drying out the bottom bed sheet but all the use of it constantly and shaking would break the seals I’d imagine. It’s only a 2024 model.
