The house seemed very quiet today without the blue feathered friend “helping” me all the time. So I cooked lots. It kept me busy.

Chit Chat / What are you been cooking today

I used the 5 and 7 today. The 6 rested. I made a Classic loaf, a rye SD is rising in the fridge, English muffins and an  Orange Sour Cream cake.

Hi again spersephone. You will love your 7. I’m finding that it makes things smoother than the 6. I made ricotta gnocchi with it yesterday and they were the best I’ve ever made.
I made some English muffins this afternoon from a camping site. The man that posted it uses them as bread when he travels, no kneading required.
We used them for burgers tonight.
Last night’s ricotta gnocchi.

Marina  CB one of my older spatulas has crumbled too. I use a mixture of spatulas.
Days seem to pass too quickly at the moment! I was very lucky to be at Chookie’s demo of TM7 ( thank you Chookie it was lovely to catch up in person ) I understand what Chookie means by a different machine. I want expecting that . Just cooking here and trying to keep warm .

It’s been a very long time since I logged in here. I’m waiting for my TM7. I wanted to order it on Day one, but my consultant wanted a chat first and we didn’t manage to do that for two weeks, so I’m patiently waiting. I’m looking forward to having my TM6 and TM7 together to take advantage of all the different options. I gave my TM5 to my mum and so far, she has been appreciating it, but originally she was saying that I was just dumping it on her. Strangely enough, we made the slow cooked meatballs from Cookidoo in the TM5, and they were fabulous. I went home and made it again in my TM6 and they just weren’t as good. I’m not sure what I did differently, as I’ve always found that recipe was great. Will have to try it again in the 7 when I get it.

What I am really looking forward to in the TM7 is the redesigned Varoma. I want to make ricotta dumplings. I feel like it never makes enough of the dumplings in the TM5/6. That’s probably going to be my first recipe when I have it. It’s coming to my consultant first, then me. I haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m getting impatient.

I must have asbestos fingers as I just pull the basket out with my hands. That TM spatula is only used here for stirring whilst the machine is going when making coleslaw etc.

Guess you’ll get used to it Chookie. For my TM31 first demo they did Fruity Dream, I’m surprised they’re doing such an easy thing at this stage of the TMX being available  here. So are you saying the Portuguese Tarts are better in one of the other models? You might have to use the different machines for different recipes like Katy does, she still does her Christmas fudges in her TM31. Also, fancy doing a bread recipe for you, didn’t she know who you are 😁

Judy, consultant made, fruity dream. I bought mixed berries. Was a bit gritty from the seeds. Bread into cold oven, not good. Embarrassed to serve this. Tandoori chicken curry. This was good and there was leftover sauce. I used this the next day and added peanut butter, chopped turkey breast, red capsicum, Zucchini.and peas . Served with leftover cauli rice. GC loved it.
If you make the Brazilian puffs make 1/2 recipe. Plenty.
I agree with Cookie. The 7 is a different machine. I’m finding it behaves differently to the 6. The custard for the Portuguese Tarts is thicker and creamier.. I’m having to mix some things for twice as long. However I’m enjoying the technology, the more I use it.
