It would be good to go on the course, Chookie, your oven(s) sound amazing and you absolutely need to get the best out of them that you can - although, from the sounds of it, you seem to be doing pretty well regardless!

I had heaps of trouble downloading our vac. certs. onto our phones as well but then one of our customers said you actually had to do it through the other Medicare app, Medicare Extra Plus.  It was still challenging, but I eventually got it done in the end.  You would think this would be the easiest thing to download at the moment, but no ... they made it as hard as they possibly could.

I hadn't thought of tipping on my garden, Judy.  What a good idea, it cannot go wrong anyway.

K Atie, computers are wonderful tools ... until they are not!  Hope you get yours sorted out soon.

Loved the look of the 60's garage, Cookie.  What an amazing collection.

Poor ducklings, Chookie.  Can you 'adopt' them and put them in a protected environment somewhere?

I think it must take real determination to eat lemons off a tree - have you tried spraying with chilli water?

I am back-tracking a bit here - Chookie, did you ever use that jackfruit?

You have inspired me to save my vege bits and pieces, Judy.  I often save the water when I boil potatoes and freeze that, so I think that will make a good base for the veges.

Lovely photo, Chookie.I laughed at your comment about downloading the vaccination certificate.  I spent ages on Monday doing that then when I went into the site to check it yesterday I couldn't find it, however, the site did ask me if I would like a Death Certificate :)

I made her green bean casserole https://www.recipetineats.com/green-bean-casserole/ last week and didn't like it as much as her other recipes, the beans were lovely but somehow didn't work with the mushroom sauce, so I cooked up some pasta and tossed the mushroom sauce in that and it made a lovely meal.

Chit Chat / CPAP machines
« on: October 13, 2021, 11:12:05 am »
Is there anyone here using a CPAP machine?  I have to make a decision soon which one I will buy but do not know anyone who has one and the outlets that sell them all have their own ' favourite' - I read that as the one they get the best profit margin on, not the one that is necessarily the best for the customer!  I have a very suspicious mind!!  Anyway I would be interested in any feedback.

No, Judy, we are using our imagination, and that is pretty scarey!  Actually, we have got a wonderful neighbour who looks after our place if we can't get up - mowing the orchard, tidying up generally, airing the house out, etc..  Fortunately he owns the chooks that I 'foster' in our hen run so I don't feel too bad about them.  He will take good care of them.  It will be so good to get up there again!
