I will try the coffee grounds Marina, thanks. DH brews his own beer and it is almost non alcoholic so I'm not sure if the snails would like it.

I went shopping for more shelving yesterday.  We have a large double cupboard where I keep casseroles, plastic ware, vases, wine etc etc.  It is always getting untidy so maybe this will help to keep things in order.

Good idea Mab.  I also group things together in flat plastic containers , on the shelves.  This helps as when I unpack my shop, I tend to just push things on to the shelf. I also do this in the fridge.

I am watching the AFL grand final and weeding and on here. I can't sit and watch it as I find it too nerve wracking! It's easier to wander round and listen to DD yelling. I would be hopeless if I was there.

I see your guys won, Cookie, well done - I wasn't watching, (we don't have a TV here) but I took a quick look on the news sites and got the results from there.  It sounds like it was a pretty exciting and closely fought game.

... oh, and what was I doing today ... signing and enveloping dozens of letters to customers telling them of the changes due to our upcoming renovations (unfortunately for these particular customers I couldn't email  :( ); credit card reconciliation, cooking, more cooking and relaxing.

I watched the footy.  Loved every minute.  Congrats Cookie.   Will also watch the NRL tonight. I am not a sporty person but do like to watch the finals in all sports except Cricket.
I am cleaning out the kitchen cupboards.
Also we are having a friend from Perth coming to spend the night next weekend.  She is flying in to Tullamarine and taking a bus from the Airport to Ballarat .  They apparently run every hour.
Must check that her room is nice and fresh.

Although I didn't watch the footy it was certainly a good game.  Well done to your team Cookie

I have started to clean out my big cupboard, this will take me a couple of days.  So much stuff and so many plastic lids without boxes etc. :o

The footy was certainly exciting. Naturally I was thrilled with the outcome. DD has gone to the welcome for the players at Langley Park, on the river, just down from the city centre.  Lots of excitement in WA today.

I enjoy watching the footy, I listen to test matches on the radio, but like to watch twenty twenty cricket on TV.

Watched the NRL finals on TV last night.  Also a great match.
Still haven’t filled the biscuit tin.  Might find time today.

Great game of footy and NRL we watched a bit .
To Surgeon today for DD , full leg brace at 90 degrees and crutches for 3 weeks , the cracks are above and below the knee and bruising of the bones ,so lucky not to have done her acl . So distracted DD and went to movie Crazy Rich Asians a good laugh light movie . DD not happy to wear it to bed . No netball for the season which is a pain .
Surgeon had a look at my knee and asked to see me in 3weeks too . Just sore and swollen, did tell him I had done a lot of driving . So Three generations of knee problems lucky DM is doing so well . DH has just realized that we are meant to take it easy .

K Atie, how horrid for you all. Please try and take it easy.
Went to Bunnings to get a sprinkler for the lawn. Came  out with a lot of nice plants.  One called a Rose Lilly is very interesting.

It’s dangerous going into Bunnings Chookie!  I have a voucher to use there so when I have time I will go for a nice browse myself.  I’m off out to lunch today with a GF then I’m taking her to my favourite pot and succulent plant place near the hotel where we will be dining.
It sounds as if you still need complete rest to me Katie, your DD will certainly miss her sport.

Katie is all sounds very painful. Follow everyone's advice and rest up if at all possible.

I did the food shopping this morning. I had just lugged it all in and DH arrived home from the Car Club! I agree with doing away with plastic bags but now I find I need so many bags, otherwise they are filled so much and are so heavy I can hardly carry them. I wasn't looking this morning and one bag had 5 x 2litre containers of milk, plus other bits of cold stuff.
