That's so good that your DB was taken care of so quickly and I wish him a quick recovery. I think as we get older we worry more about every pain or medical problem that we may (or may not) have, but do nothing about checking it for fear we may be becoming hypochondriac, so it was really good that your DB did something positive when he was experiencing breathing problems and didn't just ignore it.

I download a lot of recipes from Minimalist baker, but I don't think I could handle that smoothie - not a fan of bananas. Hope you liked it.

You will be glad that episode is all over and done with, Judy.
For some totally stupid reason, I decided to clean my pantry today - what a job, I couldn't believe how grubby it was, very embarrassing. I am about 1/3 of the way through and will have to leave it as it is for now so that I can start on my weekly meal prepping.

Mab, so sorry to hear that you are still suffering. Hope you find help / advice soon that helps you through. I think Judy's smoothies sound a great idea for you, well and truly whizzed up to make them more easy to swallow and keep down.

What bliss, Judy. I love massages but don't get to do them as often as I would like.

For those affected by pollen count, I have just found this site. Covers various areas of Australia, not just Melbourne: https://www.melbournepollen.com.au/

That looks lovely, Chookie. It looks like you made your own custard, that would make it a quick and easy dessert. It makes me think of using pineapple.

That looks like a nice recipe, Bess. I am thinking you could just make TMX custard (what qty???) and add the extras. You called it a jelly - does is set firmly or is it more of a pouring sauce?

Having seen Mab's beautiful filo rolls last week, filled me with enthusiasm and I decided I would make some sausage rolls this week. Ah well, as the poet said "... the best laid plans of mice and men gang aft agley and leave us with naught but a cooking disaster ..." The italics are my adaptation of Burns' lines. Spent a great deal of yesterday trying to 'rescue' the "sausage" mix. At least I have ended up with something a little bit edible, but no sausage rolls!

Judy, your infestation sounds horrendous. What a massive job getting rid of those little bu***rs.
I am hibernating at the moment and trying not to go outside too much as the pollen count has been extreme the past day or two and I am trying to avoid taking antihistamines. I do this every year - stubbornly fighting hay fever - it never works, I always give in and take the tablets!
Busy times coming up for you K Atie. Your DD will have so many stories to tell when she gets home.

I got a temporary crown yesterday as well, K Atie. I am also waiting to see how long this one lasts!

As Judy says, Margaret, take it easy for the next couple of days and take care of yourself

So sorry to hear that, Mab. I don't envy you. I remain a NOVID (never had COVID) and I hope it remains that way.
