A neighbour is visiting today. She is thinking of buying an AF. She wants to look at my Phillips and Ninja. My gardener , who also does odd jobs is coming to install a new timer on my irrigation system. Also to look at a sliding door that is sticking.

It sounds like a nice day for the boys Chookie. Do they cook at home at all?
Judy the older one who is 12- cooks at home. Brought me in some Teriaki chicken last week that he had cooked. The donuts were good. They went to a great deal of trouble to decorate the carrot cake. It looked hideous but they thought it looked good. I made a loaf of Potato bread in bread machine yesterday. Eating leftover today.

Made Risotto in TMX, as I usually do. Turned out a bit gluggy. Think it must have been a different brand of Arborio rice. . Now what to do with a mountain of leftovers. We are baking a Carrot cake for boys Mums Birthday. Also Jam Donuts. They will mix dough, I will fry and they will do sugar and jam.

Marina, free fruit is always a bonus. I’ve been experimenting with my Falafel recipe. My new door neighbour is constantly sending in fresh veggies from her garden. Beautiful purple Cauli and lots of lettuce and cucumbers . The Cauli plus some Zucchini from my garden made very tasty Falafels. Very little effort in TMX, sprayed with oil and baked for 15 minutes in AF. Low fat, Gluten free, hot or cold. Reheat well. Perfect light meal with lettuce and yogurt cucumber sauce. No Fuss bread rolls turned into garlic bread. Pepper and Sage Risotto. A nice light risotto for warm weather. Serving it with roast chicken ,marinated in lemon, garlic and herbs.

Back to Gym today. I’ve been enjoying sitting and eating out in my garden room. The boys and I cooked hamburgers and ate them outside. They loved it.

The cherries in Melbourne have been very expensive this year. $100 for a 2 kilo box, top grade ones. Im glad I’m growing a few veggies and herbs, as I’m horrified at the cost, also.

Just finished ‘ The Birdmans Wife ‘. By Melissa Ashley. Best book I’ve read this year. Very long so be warned. It was the book I chose for the Book Club. I chose it because I have a. Gould Lithograph. The book is the story of Elizabeth Gould who did the majority of illustrations for her husbands research into classification of birds and animals. I ended up buying it online as the print in the book from the library was impossible for me to read.
