Toffee BiscuitsIngredients100g butter
90g sugar
175g flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons golden syrup
PreparationHeat oven to 180° and prepare a tray.
Beat the butter and sugar on speed 4 until well combined. About 1-2 minutes.
Scrape the bowl down.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Knead until combined.
Take the dough out and divide into 3.
Roll each into a sausage shape about 1 inch thick. (2cm I think)
Place onto the tray and squash down gently with your hand. Space them well apart as they spread.
Bake for 12-14 minutes and cut diagonally while they are warm.
These have a delicious flavour. I may try malt or molasses next time.
