Spent a lot of today cleaning out the chook shed with DS - he bags the chook manure to sell , and eggs . The chooks love roaming around us . Had to go along way to get fresh hay for their laying boxes . Nice day for it . We even had to get gravel to fill up pot holes and block up spots were we think mice are getting in . Fresh grain for them and water, a bit of shell grit hopefully that will stop them creaking their eggs . DS has sold a lot of eggs and has saved up for a Grandpas feeder , maybe we might get one tomorrow at our local sheep day tomorrow !

This sounds delicious and would be perfect to use up my runny marmalade . Wonder if they would freeze well ?

MAB19 the sweet and sour sausage casserole is that a Fourm recipe ? Made a batch of Better homes and gardens cold and flu drink , was thinking of making lamb shank and barley soup but not sure if the shanks would cook well in the varoma ? Any ideas . Might have to get the slow cooker out . About to make Skinnymixers butter chicken , such a delicious meal . All could head south if I don't start now .

Last night we had all in one steamed Salmon with mashed potato and veg , one DS had Killer vanilla ice cream with home made caramel sauce . DH started with chicken coconut and lemon soup to fight off a nasty cold . The night cuppa turned into the flu lemon hot drink ( Better homes and gardens cold and flu drink - the best ) for both of us . Tonight I am making butter chicken ( Skinnymixers ) .

Just going to share some of our favourite meals lately . The most moist pork I have had in a long time -Skinnymixers roast pork belly with Caramelized apples , steamed the pork in the lower part of the varoma . For vegetarians Chilli bean potatoes , DH asked for seconds and lunch the next day ! Practically devoured by DS and DD Tenia's cranberry, maple, pecan granola with lots of Yogurt . Soups are our go to food for lunch in winter , this becomes a daily exercise . Minestrone soup , DS favourite at the moment and requested this morning cauliflower and leek soup . My all time make you feel well soup is Quirky Jo's coconut lemon chicken soup .

Think I got a little carried away with the amount of Tangelos , very runny but nice May have to do a few puddings with the marmalade . Was going to have another try . Seemed a lot of sugar too . May be I added too much water !
