Wonderful cooking . I am so missing my TMx and my dog and my warm . Did manage to make a loaf of bread yesterday but just the Irish Brown and it was NOT as nice as being mixed in my Thermie.  I am rugged up and soooooooo cold. Not even a slow cooker in this house to make something long and warm but there is a garden full of wonderful green stuff.

I use my KA to make pasta. Can't beat it! Why do you have flour from one end of the house to the other? I don't :) I also don't use a pasta drying rack. Best thing I've found is tea towels on the back of my bar stools. I have the three pasta attachments and also the extruder. We tend to use fettuccine / lasagne most.

I prefer my KA for making pasta too.  I have a drying rack but much prefer to lie the pasta on tea towels.  :)

cooking today:

5doz zucchini muffins,
Frittata fingers (from B&T book)
and made the mix for salmon patties (from the B&T book too) but stupidly let the girls taste the mix before I shaped them - and now there is probably not enough mix left to bother making the patties!!  :-)) ;D

Juliette it sounds as though you are having great fun. That's wonderful.

Your meal sounds lovely Juliette, are you using the TMX for any of the steps?

I am Cookie ... im having a cooking baking ball!! ;D..I moved house in feb this year from a massive 3 bed family home.. to a tiny 1 bed bungalow.. and had to get rid of soo much of my kitchen gadgetry..it was heartbreaking (damn that downsizing!) but the TM has replaced most of what i lost and is making most of what i still own redundant.. so more space on work surface to get back being creative ... what between the TM and my sewing machine im just busy busy .. HAPPY DAYS!!! XXX

I am going to try to use the TMX for almost all the steps .. i have 2 bowls ( an offer thats on at the moment free with purchase of tm you get 2 bowls and 6 recipe books a really good deal) so im going to do the bisque in one bowl mix the pasta in the other then use again to make filling .. and also to maybe steam the ravioli  ??? not sure about that bit .. going to look it up  :) xx

You can certainly steam the ravioli in the TMX.  What a great deal you got there :)

Did you get the Full Steam Ahead book with your deal Juliette?  There's a ravioli recipe on page 128 which is cooked for 20 minutes. I made beetroot ravioli recently and only cooked that for 12 minutes in both the varoma tray and in the varoma bowl with 1 litre boiling water in the TM bowl and using speed 3.

This comment regarding the recipe in Full Steam Ahead - Recipe Name: Ravioli with Sweet Ricotta Filling and Lamb Ragout
Book Name: Full Steam Ahead
Tweaking details: I wouldn't change a thing – however the recipe doesn't say to leave the ravioli, however my pasta maker suggested you leave the made ravioli for an hour to dry out before cooking (if you don't let it dry out it will all stick together in the steamer)
Review: Absolutely loved this.  It did take a long time for me to roll out the dough, but it was well worth it
Score: (out of 5*) 5
