Apple IOS8 update
« on: September 18, 2014, 10:26:30 am »
I have downloaded 10S 8 . Not sure it was a good thing. The forum is quite askew. Any Others?

Isn't there always problems when people upgrade Gert?

Yes dede. I a behind the times with my upgrade. I was afraid I may lose all my precious photos, so didn't do it until I had saved them elsewhere.

We haven't done ours yet.  We are going to wait a couple of weeks and then Bruce and Mandy will do it for us at their place.  They have unlimited WiFi time.  Good to hear the reports though, thanks.

Amazing. I just tapped the refresh button and it came  good. Sometimes things need an easy solution only.

I wish Icould fix the green screen on my outside TV .I think the geckos have done it. It is not worth getting it fixed and I hate to toss it.

Then my IMac needs some cleaning up but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do it even though I have read and re read and even bought the dummies book. It is is driving me nuts. I am loath to pay for someone to do it. I am sure it is easy if only I Can discover the secret of removing the excess backup files  to get some GBytes back. I am not usually so stupid with my devices.

Just read and re read the manual on the TM5. Interesting they are allowing us to clean the protective vents. Take off clean and snap back on. I am particularly in love with the insect protective screen. Seems they did listen and learn.

Gert I'm no whizz so bear with me, but do you have a free App called AppCleaner from the Apple store?  It deletes all files associated with any apps/programs you want to delete.   :)

Thanks JulieO

Was just trying to download a Memory Cleaner for the Mac but not enough disc spar so how is that for a Catch 22.

It is not the apps so much as I have only a couple on the iMac. Re reading Dummies again so I can at least get rid of some crap so I can dowload a cleaner!
