Maddy, you MUST make those brownies. I have bookmarked them to make, look at the recipe at least once a week and say no they will go to my hips. So please be a good girl and go easy on the bubbles and make them so I can enjoy them from a safe distance ;) :D

Today I made beef rendang and Irish soda bread.

Yesterday when I went to the wholesale butcher I go to, they had turkey breasts for $5.99kg - so I bought a kilo.
I like this butcher as it's the type of place that never know what you'll find.

Today I've made turkey schnitzels for our dinner and 2 turkey and vegie pies (1 to the freezer for dinner one night this week and 1 for Mum). I wish I'd bought more then a kilo!

It certainly was. I'd be happy if I could get chicken breasts for that price, let alone turkey.

It certainly was a bargain and they were lovely moist turkey breasts. We both really enjoyed the turkey schnitzels for dinner.

Kicking myself I didn't buy more than a kilo.

I've never seen them there Katie but then I haven't needed meat for a long time so haven't needed to go there. I agree with you that you  never know what you're going to find and if you think you'll get some more of a particular cut you've bought there before, well you probably won't find it that day.

Busy day CC. Sounds yummy.
Bacon rolls for lunch here then chicken fillets (5kg for £19.99 at bookers) on BBQ with  *: coleslaw and more rolls tonight. Huge chicken breasts 3 was enough for us 4 inc two hungry men. ( rest in freezer)
Apple strudel (bought) from freezer for afters.
Wallpaper stripping took priority over my cooking, plus the arrangements are still hard going even though the Aga is back.
We are invited out to tea time roast dinner tomorrow so can work all day on house. DH digging foundations for his office and garage.
