I meant to put this in my last post, but forgot.

Got up early and did 3 hours in the garden. Harvested 10 bunches of garlic, broad beans. Red cabbage , picked the last of the Raspberries.and enough new potatoes to steam in the TMX to make potato salad.
Made also some Sweet potato crackers for use with dips. Will take some to Farmers a Market tomorrow.
Lovely, not as hot today.

It sounds as if you're reaping the benefit of all your hard work Chookie.  Well done.

Marina, enjoy your hard earned holiday.  I'm sure it's been difficult both physically and emotionally. New year and a new chapter.
Mich, fantastic having such a supportive street. Have you lived there a long time.  I feel modern houses with garages that open directly into your house, while hugely convenient, kill getting to know your neighbourhood. Well done to you both.
Chookie, the people who buy your property are going to enjoy all the hard work you and Ral have put in creating your wonderful vege garden.  I hope it's a family that can teach their little ones the benefits of growing your own.
CC I would love a frosty morning.
We spent New Years Eve having a picnic on our balcony of our building site!  Rough but pleasant watching the sun set on 2015.

Denise, do you know how special that is ... it is not everyone who gets to enjoy NYE on a building site balcony .... what a memory!  :P

It was good to read that your new house has got to that stage Denise, what a great idea - completely understandable.

That would have been lovely Denise. We had a "pad" party at our place. Drinks and nibbles with friends after the pad was put down. It was BYO chairs etc. we didn't bother the neighbours as there weren't any at that stage.
DD has mentioned that a couple of her friends have had a party/ceremony before they shift into their homes.

Only trouble is our building supervisor lives close by and always seems to drive past.  He kind of tells us off, in a gentle sort of way!

Bedlam, just love your way of celebrating. When our house at Cherokee was being built we sat of wooden boxes  on the slab and had a picnic.
It is less than 2 months before we settle on our new house at Invermay. Today I am going to make some Lemon and Carrot Marmalade from produce from our garden here to take with us for our new pantry.
I bought some Asian type  seedlings at the Farmers market yesterday, will plant them today.

Doing some laundry today, should dry quickly in this wind.  Hope it doesn't blow away :D
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

We had a windy day Friday Margaret. As I took each load out to the line I was able to bring the previous lot in. It's been very still here since. A nice breeze from the Coast would be nice.
