What a full life you are living Chookie . Nothing like a bookclub too . Crutching today , thankfully as ewes are near lambing . Day in shearing shed , doing smoko and lunch , general tidy up . Quick tidy up of MILs kitchen too . DH spent the day in truck moving the sheep . He was very tired after . Today is quilting, so I’ll get the shears smoko set up, luckily only three plus DH and worker .

It all sounds like fun Chookie. I often curse my bookclub book, but then I have often read  authors that I would never select.
We had visitors this morning that goes well into the afternoon. Our Neighbours from our previous house.

Nice Cookie.
I’m now going through the shelves in the garage and discarding more things that I’m not using. Did lots of odd jobs that I’ve been putting off.

Went to Gym early as installation of treadmill was today. Also hunted down the only bottle of Pomegranate molasses that existed in Ballarat. Meigas, the local Spanish restaurant in Ballarat has thinly sliced eggplant, dusted with flour and fried until crispy and drizzled with This Molasses. It’s my favourite recipe . I’m making some tomorrow.

Busy week ahead so trying to do as much today as possible. Finished book for Probus, ‘Commonwealth ‘. Better things to do with my time. Cleaning up yard between showers. Not so cold today. 9 degrees at the moment.
KAtie, that all sounds good. Kids moving on.

Plenty big enough to grow all your herbs Chookie, it will be nice to have some garden to tend to. Herbs are so expensive to buy, it’s much nicer to be able to walk out your back door and pick just what you need for a recipe.

Your gardens look good, Chookie.  They will be nice and easy to care for so you should get great harvests out of them.

After I finished my cooking for the day, spent a couple of hours raking up oak leaves which our kind neighbour had run over with his ride on mower to break them up so that I can put them into the compost.  I think I shifted about 5 barrow loads and there are still more lying, but they missed the mower so I don't want to put all of those ones into the compost.  I think I will just let them lie and break down naturally.

Marina, lucky compost. Great for the garden. My next door neighbour grew up in Guildford. Have forgotten her surname but her father was awarded an award for services to the local community. Her mother now lives in Castlemaine.
Cleaning up the kitchen after my little neighbor came to visit. He was in disgrace so I said to his father to send him in. He helped me wash the car and hosed himself. Then we made waffles. He ate several before he took the rest home.

You certainly know how to work with children Chookie, the two of you obviously have a great relationship. His parents must be so pleased to have you as their neighbour and be willing to help out in this way.
