So simple yet impressive. What sort of icing is it? Are the orange strips candied?

Glacé Icing Gert.I got the recipe off Taste.com .I used 3/4 cup of sifted icing sugar,5g soft butter and 1 tablespoon of orange juice.( I needed a bit more juice to get it runny :D)
Not candied orange peel, just took the zest off with one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Craft-Handled-Stainless-Canelle/dp/B0001IWUQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402558897&sr=8-1&keywords=Strip+zester

Thanks for that. I might just pick up some oranges and make a cake for I don't know who but just for fun because it looks so great.

DH's is going to a Didhedie lunch tomorrow in Sydney. I am getting up at 0400 to take him to the airport so. I have TWO,days to myself!

I made this today as cupcakes, I got 24 out of my mix. Then made some buttercream with added orange rind.

Absolutely beautiful! Will become a regular.
