Yesterday I made a Pav for Father’s Day.  Yes I had some. Probably shouldn’t.  Also something I never do, I bought takeaway roast lunch. RAL wanted to save me cooking.  It was just ok. We have several Roast takeaway shops in Ballarat. We had leftovers for dinner.
Tonight we are having Crayfish Mornay.

Chicken drumsticks done in the AF with a lightly spiced sauce.  Smashed potatoes, peas & carrots.  Left over B&B pudding for dessert.

Salmon with baked potato greens followed by DS dessert failures !! Donuts , using Aldi mini fryer ! They were runny take two yuk ! DS asked is bi carb of Soda the same as baking powder!! We yet again laughed a lot . DS found some frozen churros filled with chocolate so they were nice . Think he will remember the difference, batter was foaming should have been a big hint .

I've never made Pilaf. I will have to rectify that.
We are having fresh barramundi from Humpty Doo in the NT. Chips and salad.

K Atie's DS is not the only one to make a mistake with baking powder & carb soda.  My last night's meal was a disaster, completely inedible.  I wanted crispy skin on the chicken and used 3 teaspoons carb soda instead of baking powder.  I won't make that mistake again.

Tonight we had salmon with left over potatoes and mixed greens.

Mab, I use just a fraction of the baking powder that RTE suggests. Sill good result and no taste.
KAtie, I bought my DD an AF.  DGS says he is taking it with him when he moves out. His favourite foods cooked in AF are sausage rolls, anything crumbed and garlic bread. All very healthy !!
Roast pork for dimmer and more fruit salad.

Cookie an air fryer would be great , but no more bench space ! A friend cooks cauliflower steaks in hers and swears by it too . Thankfully DS does like to try out things but he now needs to help with the meals occasionally. Mind you his lunches are up to him now , just tell him what’s there and he puts together what he feels like .
