It's used in a beetroot salad recipe in "In the Mix". I think it is used in Moroccan recipes too. I quite like the taste, it's sweet with a sour after taste. It's thickened, sweetened pomegranate juice. Not as thick as regular molasses or as sweet. I think it will be nice on chicken breasts too.

Interesting. I don't have the in the mix book. I'm holding off buying any more recipe books as I have 100s of recipes now to try lol.

I needed some more of this so as I was using the thermomix I decided to make it in the HMP. I cooked it for almost 2 hours and it hadn't reduced enough. One thing the HMP doesn't do is lose a lot due to evaporation. I wanted to use it for a dressing for a salad tonight. I've now finished with the thermomix so it is in there.  :-\

I used up the last pomegranate molasses I made last Christmas. It had sat in the fridge for a very long time. I’m making some more at the moment.

I wish I had known we had this recipe here.  I was looking for some pomegranate molasses just last week and after a lot of walking around managed to find some at the local Woolworths.  I haven't tried it yet so I will open the jar this weekend and see what I think of it.

I tried to buy some but couldn’t find any. I can’t say I looked too hard as I knew I could make this.
