Nay-nay - Made the chiagel variation. Well very pleasantly surprised! It came together as a beautiful cake batter. The texture is just like a mud cake! I don't even have a picture as it got devoured at our State of Origin Party. (That's footy Tebasile) I topped it with chocolate cream and choc chips. The kids knew something was up cause they kept asking me, "where did the chickpeas go you were soaking mum??" LOL but absolutely no one picked it up - it's really chocolate cake.

If someone was given cake that like Tebasile I'm sure they wouldn't realise all the healthy components in it. It looks delicious.

LOL what a great option will be trying! How long do you sprout chickpeas for? I'm guessing sprouted are heavier than dried?

Sorry - didn't read properly!!  :-[ Will make with the chiagel variation. Would love to try the chilli variation but a whole cake just for me would just be too indulgent! Will get back when done! Thanks!  ;)

Great recipe Tebasile - will have to try sprouting the chickpeas.  It will certainly change the texture (& nutritional value)  :-* :-* :-*

Hi Nay-nay, I'm glad you tried it  ;). The chili chocolate isn't hot at all in the cake  :)

@Chelsea: Thanks  ;)
