I know the feeling Chookie. I have tins that were Mums. Even a horseshoe one with the horseshoe shape sunken in the tin. When you make a cake in it you can pop things in the shape. Heart shape tins, a dolly varden tin etc.

Our air conditioner decided to die yesterday in all that heat and humidity. We have had the repair man here today and because it is an old unit and no guarantees that a repair will last we have decided to get a new one.

Best decision Margaret, I hope you can get someone to install a new one without too much delay.

It couldn't have picked worse time to play up. Good idea to go for a new unit.

The new style recycle AC are very good. Our exSIL sells them and advised us to get one slightly larger than recommended for the room size. They heat/ cool quicker and save money when using.
Ral having tests over last 2 days. Waiting for results today. Glad it is a lot cooler. We are fortunate to have such a good GP.
Man finally came and fixed security gates. A slug had shorted out circuit board. Expensive little slug.

Ral in hospital with diverticulitis. Treatment working. Antibiotics and liquid diet. No visitors. We are so lucky that we are in Ballarat. St John of God hospital is amazing. Ral has 2 top specialist who both visit . There are only 13 patients in the ward.
Next week we were booked to go to Melbourne for a week. We cancelled before Ral got sick. Can’t risk covid.
Amazing what a tray of Portuguese Custard Tarts can do for the morale of people working under pressure. Today Trudy’s Lemon Muffins.

Covid is touching a few boarding schools and schools , all our kids are on camps , one kid tested positive on arrival so sent home , rapid tests are helping. Fingers crossed .

Poor Ral. I have a couple of friends who suffer from diverticulitis and they say it is very painful. Sending him a big hug from the very hot West.

My GD’s only been back at school for 3 days and today the family were notified of 2 positive cases in her class (none in any other senior class). So she is a close contact but surprisingly does not have to go into isolation nor have a test unless she shows symptoms. Must say I was surprised at their decision but what would I know about it.

Sorry to see that Ral is back in hospital. My DH also has diverticulitis but at this stage it does not seem to be a problem, thank goodness. Hope Ral is back to his usual self very soon and at home again.
The rules re. close contacts, etc. with COVID are changing all the time now, it is almost impossible to keep up with them all. Personally, I think they have got some of their priorities wrong and we will see COVID cases jumping up again before too much longer.
