Just made this. I don't mind it and neither does the 3 year old. 34 year old said it tasted like cardboard. Don't know what 5 year old will think. I thought it was a good way to fill little tummies before school.

I used low fat milk and 20g butter. Will add some apple next time I think as it seems to be along the lines of the porridge in my very inexperienced opinion!!!

i add all sorts of things to this. We love it for breakfast. Often add fresh / dried fruit, nuts, LSA, seeds while cooking or even after cooking. Also add stewed fruit after cooking as well. It is very versatile  ;)

I made this today and threw in pitted dates and goji berries instead of the other fruit. Gave it a lovely caramel taste.

This sounds really good. Does anyone know whether it will scale down okay to a single serve (or two serves?)

What perfect timing for this recipe - after 2 hours in the dentist chair today, I think it will be just what I need for breakfast tomorrow!

Take care Amanda, I usually take myself to bed after the dentist.

Yummo Thermomixer, be nice with other fruit too I'm thinking.

I will be taking my swollen face to a $150 per head dinner tomorrow night so I hope that if I treat it gently in the morning it will come good for me in the afternoon.

I hope so too Amanda for your sake - what a waste if you can't eat your $150 worth of food and drinks  ;)   :-* :-*

I've got this in my thermie right now. The cinnamon and nutmeg smell divine!
Can't wait to dive in. :)

My mom used to make rice cereal on the weekends for breakfast. This sounds very close to what she used to make.
Yay! Thanks for sharing.
