How much dough for a square tin???
« on: November 23, 2010, 02:07:47 pm »
I've just bought a square bread tin with a cover to be able to make sandwiches for the kids lunches and was just wondering how much to fill the tin? The tin I bought measures approximately 20cm x 10cm x 10cm, so will make a fairly small loaf. But whatever  recipe I use I can make rolls with the excess.

Virgo I have a couple of those tins. I fill them to just below half way. I have over filled them and when the bread was cooking it oozed out between the lid and tin. DH loved the crisp bits it made. I let it rise, then put the lid on to cook.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
