Fantastic trip. You will love Kununurra, don't forget to go up Kelly's Knob.
No Bungle Bungles this trip?
The Gibb river road is great too. I was terrified the first time we did it many. many years ago. But it is a walk in the park.
When you get to Perth send me a pm and we can perhaps arrange a coffee with a few of the people here. If you wish of course. You may be staying away from hustle and bustle, we usually do.

Yes Cookie1, We are going to the Bungle Bungles - sorry I forgot to mention it - there's just so much to see. We are struggling with the airfare to see the Horizontal Falls but I guess, it will be a once in a lifetime experience so we will most likely do it. Apparently the cruise on Lake Argyle is a must-do too! So much to see and do...... Will stay in touch and thanks for the suggestion about a catchup in Perth. Sounds like fun!! Will see how we are situated. Apparently there's a good park to stay at - Karinyup (so we've been told anyway!) I've roasted my pumpkin and carrots in the oven, ready to make the soup.

Thanks everyone, we head off in about 17 sleeps not that I'm counting,  we are heading up through Birdsville , to the Savanah Way across to Kunanurra , Gibbs River Road and Mitchell Falls , Broome then down to Port  Headland then inland ! Down to the Central Hwy across to Alice and then who knows, this a short version of the itinery.  We have a Travelander on the tray if our Landcruiser Ute.   Annette we may meet up I will be checking in on the forum whenever I have coverage, we are buying a Sat phone as this time we will be travelling a lot on our own,  expensive but peace of mind hopefully like insurance we won't  need it .   We plan to be away may be three or four months maybe longer .

Have fun on your adventures girls and stay safe.  Hope you both manage to check in from time to time and bump into each other along the way as well.

The holidays sound wonderful. The information centre at Birdsville has lots of info AB. If you stay in the caravan park there, check out the strength of the toilet flushes. They are more powerful than the ones on planes.
Ambro0 when you fly to the Horizontal Falls make sure there there is plenty of tide movement. Some friends went when it was neap tides and were disappointed.

Enjoy ladies, I am jealous.

I wish we could pop up and say hello and have a little holiday up there too. We have the Model A national ( now international) meet in Busselton so it is not on this year.
