i need help! i'm having problems with my jug but have been told that its perfectly normal when my consultant looked at it. the plastic handle is coming away from the metal jug part. i noticed it splitting away about an inch from the bottom and over a week the whole lot has come away from the base and the divide is working its way up to the top, and now everything has started to burn in the bottom of my jug. 2ndly my spatula which i have used for two batches of sorbet has a blade slice in it - it has only ever been put through the top as i scrap out the jug with a d-line flexible spatula (after my first batch i found it was easier to get more with it) my machine is 7 weeks old! my consultant says it's fine so what can i do??

Was it fine when the consultant looked at it? You know, sometimes when we say there's something wrong, and it doesn't show up when someone looks at it? Like going to the car mechanic with a squeak in the car and it doesn't squeak when you're there.

Where are you? If you're in Perth, I guess you could take it to HO to show it to them. The other thing is that you can ring HO and see what they say.

Can you post photos? An inch is pretty big, so it's hard for your consultant to deny.

that sounds bad. ring HO, and if that fails it sounds like you have a problem. (I am sure being under warranty it won't be too great a drama tho...keep us informed)

I agree with CP and thermoheaven that you need  a second opinion,preferably by H.O.I hope you get it sorted out soon.

my advice is to take photos straight away and contact head office and email them the photos...at only seven weeks or any number of weeks that shouldnt be happening but strange things can happen unfortunately...speak to someone at head officed and put your mind to ease as they usually will tell you what the procedure is about fixing it...there should be no reason that it isnt under warranty but again contact HO asap and take photos ...they can be proof and aid in explaining to HO ie sending an email..good luck and hope it gets sorted soon  :)

hi all,
thank you so much for all your help. yep when the consultant had a look at my jug the divide was halfway up the jug and she still said that it was fine. go figure!! thanks to your advice i have emailed photos off to head office in perth to get them to have a look and am awaiting their reply. cheers

wow sargrove I would also be requesting a new consultant...if its split like you say and she is saying its nothing there is something wrong there and I would be askig for someone else  :)
