Good ole' leave it to the last minute....

we are taking the kids to my SIL tonight for a sleep over in preparation for my op (removal of plate and screws) tomorrow. And I have offered dessert.... I normally do a killa cheesecake (even though DD and I can't eat it) but don't have cheesecake stuff on hand.... what can I make that is super yummy and dairy free???

Maybe have a look on quirkyjos blog, or she may even have posted one here under desserts .
There's a recipe called Instant Strawberry Foam that ones to mind, and what about a fruit crumble. You can make some custard or have ice cream on the side for those who can.

eggs and nuts are fine, it is just dairy (in alllllll forms) and soy as well

I am vegetarian and have been asked if I eat chicken because the meat is white???????

No, Uni, I don't eat fish either (that is mainly because my dad loved fish and when I was a child I was forced to eat it, like it or not - the usual story "... you won't get up from this table until you have eaten everything on your plate" ...) so that turned me off fish completely from a very young age!
